We believe in a vision of ending child poverty in Wisconsin. We believe that the people of Wisconsin, working together, can cut child poverty in half in the next ten years. Seeking greater equity, our vision includes cutting racial disparities in child poverty in half. We are committed to evidence-based evaluation of progress.

Reducing and eliminating child poverty will increase the quality of life in the state, as well as helping our children to grow into responsible adult citizens , workers and contributors themselves to a better state.

Poverty is the root cause of so many issues in Milwaukee. Begin addressing the issue with children.

Every child should have a home with food, clothing and comfort while living in a community that has good schools and safe neighborhoods.

Poverty has been and, unfortunately, will continue to be a major issue in every society. As God’s stewards we have a unique opportunity to touch the lives of every individual graciously created by Him. With God’s help we can bring hope into the lives of all of His children, especially the innocent. God has placed us right where he needs us to be and we must be open to and willing to follow His lead.

Healthy, well fed kids with stable housing, good public schools, and decent health care is essential for our democracy and economy.

The vicious circle of poverty hurts everyone in our communities. It leads to a deadend for the future of a child living in such conditions.

We were needy and God gave everything to care for us. How can we not do the same?

If people can’t sign on to end child poverty simply because it’s reprehensible morally to allow children in a nation as rich as ours to live in poverty, they should at least wake up to the fact that doing nothing to end childhood poverty now condemns our communities to the logical after-effects for years to come — ones that will directly affect them and those they love. A society should invest in its children — all of its children — for the future well-being of ALL of its members.
